– Every year, the population’s need to use electricity for heating and hot water supply (DHW) increases. If we compare the growth rates of subscribers using electricity for electric heating, it should be noted that in 2022, 120 citizens received technical specifications for electric heating of individual households with a total capacity of 935 kW, says the head of the Distribution Zone. – In the same year, 151 households were connected to electric heating, including those who received the technical conditions earlier. This whole process is not quick and for various reasons can take several years. In 2023, we issued 125 technical specifications for a total capacity of 1010 kW and 160 private households were connected to electricity for electric heating and hot water supply. A 32-apartment residential building was also put into operation, where electricity is used for electric heating and hot water supply.
A very serious help for citizens, according to Gennady Momotyuk, is the partial compensation determined by the state for the costs of electric heating.
Last year, 38,214 km of electrical networks were reconstructed and put into operation in the region, including for electric heating. RUB 3,915 thousand were spent for these purposes.
In the prospects for 2024/2025, the design and reconstruction of power lines in the villages of Yuzefiny, Litovsk, Kublik, Nemerzha (Lenin, Gagarina, Lesnaya, Polevaya, Sovetskaya, Pobedy streets), partly the agricultural town of Vulka Simonovichskaya and Proletarskaya Street in Simonovichi.
Time does not stand still, so plans are being drawn up for the reconstruction of electrical networks for the period 2026–2030. As part of the repair campaign, it is planned to replace part of the power lines and transformer substations, which will also satisfy the population’s need to use electricity for electric heating purposes.
– Of course, during the stages of reconstruction of power lines it is necessary to temporarily suspend the supply of electricity to consumers during the daytime, with the exception of periods of severe frost. I ask citizens to treat this with understanding,” says the head of the Drogichinsky Distribution Zone.
Gennady Vitalievich also drew the attention of area residents that, according to the Rules for the Protection of Electric Networks, it is prohibited to plant trees and shrubs in the protection zone of power lines. This is one of the factors affecting the reliability of power supply.
