On February 23, a festive concert dedicated to the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus was held in the city House of Culture.

 The military commissar of the Drogichinsky district, Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Androshchuk, congratulated those present on the holiday: “The Day of Defenders of the Fatherland carries in its content a symbolic unity of the past and the present. On this day we congratulate those who defended our freedom and independence during the Great Patriotic War and were an example of selfless service "To the Motherland in the post-war period, he fulfilled his international duty with valor and honor. We congratulate those who today, at the call of their hearts, have chosen for themselves the difficult and honorable profession of defending the Motherland."

Oleg Petrovich presented letters of gratitude to parents whose sons fulfill their military duty with dignity and honor.

Words of congratulations to the men were also heard from the chairman of the regional organization of the Belarusian Union of Women, Lyudmila Filonyuk.

As part of the "Mom's Pies" campaign, Lyudmila Ivanovna gave sweet gifts to the military personnel of the Svaryn border outpost.
