“The reasons for the fire of dry vegetation, as a rule, is a simple failure to comply with fire safety when making fires and burning garbage,” said senior engineer of the Drogichinsky Regional Emergency Situations Department, Major of Internal Service Dmitry Bobro.
In Lipniki, the raid participants found two residents making fires. Fortunately, fire safety regulations were followed. The rescuer gave area residents recommendations on burning garbage and answered their questions.

In the village of Zaluzhye, rescuers discovered an area whose territory was completely covered with dry vegetation. According to Dmitry Bobro, such conditions can lead to a fire, because just one spark is enough for the entire area to start blazing.

“It is still possible to make fires and burn garbage. But it’s worth doing this only on personal plots, having previously prepared,” explains the senior engineer of the Drogichinsky Regional Emergency Situations Department. – To do this, dig around the fireplace and provide it with primary fire extinguishing equipment (a bucket of water, a shovel, a fire extinguisher). Also, do not make a fire near combustible buildings and structures - it is better to take it to a safe distance, which excludes the possibility of your and other people’s property catching fire, and do not forget that before leaving the place where the fire was made, extinguish it until the smoldering stops completely.”
