Today in the Brest Regional Executive Committee a meeting was held with the Council of the regional organization of the Belarusian Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan

The meeting took place on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers and was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vadim Kravchuk noted: “We will continue to work on active social support for Afghan soldiers. It is important that veterans carry out patriotic work among our youth.”

Nikolai Nikolaevich ZAYATS, chairman of the Drogichinsky district organization of the public association "Belarusian Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan" was awarded a commemorative medal for the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan and a certificate.
